*Registration Deadline is no later than two days prior to the test date*

NOTE: Pursuant to A.R.S. 6-908(C) an applicant may not take the mortgage broker test more than two (2) times within a twelve (12) month period.


Location:

Tests are held at 100 North 15th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85007. DIFI's main guest parking has a maximum parking allowance of 2 hours. To avoid any tickets please park in the overflow lots located on the east end of the building parking garage OR the northeast corner of 15th Avenue and West Adams Street.


To Register:

Mortgage Broker Test Registration: elicense.az.gov

  1. Click on the "LOG IN" option.
  2. Once logged in, click the "I DON’T HAVE A LICENSE" button.
  3. Enter your personal contact information.
  4. Create a password according to the password specifications provided.
  5. Click the "SUBMIT" button.
  6. After registration, log in using the email address and password you just created.
  7. Once logged in, click the "CLICK HERE TO APPLY FOR NEW LICENSES" button.
  8. Select "Board" (Arizona Department of Financial Institutions).
  9. Select "License Type" (Mortgage Broker Test).
  10. Select "Application By" (General Application).
  11. Click the "SAVE AND CONTINUE" button.
  12. Proceed through the rest of the application. Note:  You do not need to fill out your education history, employment history, or declarations.
  13. Submit a copy of your school "Certificate of Completion" and the $50 test fee via the online portal application.

Day of test:

- Candidates must bring one government issued picture ID.

- Candidates should bring a non-database type financial calculator, at least 2-3 #2 pencils (sharpened) and an eraser. The Department will furnish all test materials including scratch paper. A CALCULATOR WILL NOT BE PROVIDED FOR YOU.
